Tooth Extractions

Your dentist should make every effort to preserve your natural teeth. At Dental Health Care Center, our dentists go to great lengths to assure you keep your teeth as long as possible and in their best condition. However, at times, it is impossible to preserve a tooth due to decay, accidents or gum disease. When a tooth can no longer be saved, it is extracted or “pulled.” Once it has been extracted, it should be replaced with a bridge, implant, denture or a combination.

Some people fear the tooth extraction process. If you are one of those people, ask you dentist about “sleep dentistry,” also known as sedation dentistry. During your procedure, your dentist will give you a sedative that will put you into a state of sleep. When you wake up, the procedure will have been performed and you will be on your way.
